
The remaster is effectively a full version of the game, with all expansions included and enhanced graphics. Saints Row: The Third Remastered was published on May 21 of this year, and while the original game was appreciated, the remaster was panned for being beautiful yet antiquated.

Following that, Saints Row IV and Gat Out of Hell took the series’ paradigm even further by introducing super-powered gameplay, a polarising development that players either adored or despised in comparison to previous games. The franchise had humble beginnings, with early reviews describing the first game as “simply another GTA clone” until the release of the second and third installments, which gave the series the distinct character it required to succeed. To commemorate the announcement of the revival, Epic Games is giving away Saints Row: The Third Remastered for free.
